Our Thankful Tree

Each year we try to make something that says what we are thankful for.  I strongly believe that it helps the kids appreciate what they are thankful for. And hopefully insteal good values for them and they carry them on as they become adults. This year we made a Thankful Tree. I saw this on a blog post and thought it would something cute, and different we could try.

We took sticks that were in our yard and put them a big glass vase that I’ve had for years. (It was gift from my hubby) The kids added things they were thankful for to the tree. Its still a work in progress and I’m hoping it will stay up through Christmas. It sits in our “family/game room” right now, where we will all see it and remember. (Its in a central location. We have to pass it to move around the house)

Do you have any family traditions? Do you do any crafts or things to teach your family about being Thankful?
